What is Blackboard Collaborate?

Blackboard Collaborate is a web conferencing tool in myCourses that many instructors use to conduct virtual office hours or support sessions. Instructors will also sometimes assign presentations which students must carry out and record through Blackboard Collaborate. This page explains the different interfaces of Blackboard Collaborate for students that are attending or presenting in a Blackboard Collaborate session.

Note: If you receive the error "Unknown User{Name}" your connection information may need to be updated. Return to the Blackboard Collaborate page in your course site and click the link to the session you would like to join again. This will download the link file(ending in .jnlp or .collab) with up-to-date connection information; you should then be able to access the Collaborate session.
